Divorce & Family Law
Family law matters call for both legal skill and a steady hand. We help clients across the Keys resolve divorce, time-sharing, and support disputes with as much cooperation as possible, and with firm advocacy in court when it is not.
How we work
Our first goal is to understand what matters most to you: your children, your home, your financial stability, your peace of mind. From there we build a strategy that protects those priorities, whether through negotiation, mediation, or trial. Attorney Rachel L. Moss focuses her practice on family law and has litigated many complex and high-conflict cases, including those involving domestic violence, relocation, and parental rights.
Matters we handle
- Contested and uncontested divorce
- Parenting plans and time-sharing
- Child support and modifications
- Alimony and spousal support
- Prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Paternity
- Adoption
- Domestic violence injunctions
- Relocation cases
- Enforcement and contempt
- Equitable distribution and pension division (QDROs)
- Same-sex family matters
Practical advice during a divorce
Be reasonable and cooperative where you can, put your children's needs first, and disclose all assets fully. Avoid relocating with the children, violating temporary orders, or transferring property without advice. Those missteps are the ones that cost clients the most, and they are avoidable with counsel involved early.
